Gluten Free is Alla Eat
Welcome!
Hi, I’m Alla—the creator of Gluten Free is Alla Eat! My journey with gluten-free living began in 2019, but my struggles with stomach issues date back much further. For most of my life, my digestive problems were attributed to severe anxiety, which certainly played a role—but it wasn’t the whole picture.
Unfortunately, I never received a formal celiac diagnosis due to a lack of guidance from my gastroenterologist at the time. I made the mistake of eliminating gluten before undergoing an endoscopy (something you should never do if you're seeking a diagnosis). Now, my current doctor believes I have pre-celiac—I carry all the genetic markers for celiac disease, experience severe symptoms, and have seen a complete transformation in my health since going gluten-free. For simplicity’s sake, I usually say I have celiac, especially since even small amounts of cross-contamination wreak havoc on my body.
Before I understood what was wrong, my health was at its worst. I had lost the ability to go to the bathroom regularly, ended up in the ER, and dealt with severe bloating that left my stomach painfully distended by the end of each day. After years of searching for answers, I was diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and intestinal methane overgrowth (IMO). Thankfully, after a long and challenging healing journey, I finally found relief in 2023-2024.

Becoming a Mom
One of the biggest and most exciting changes in my life recently has been becoming a mom! Navigating motherhood while managing my own health has been a learning experience, but it has also deepened my passion for advocating for better awareness and resources for those with dietary restrictions—especially for families. From pregnancy to postpartum and now raising my little one, I’ve had to be extra mindful about nutrition, cross-contamination, and ensuring a safe environment. I hope to share my experiences, tips, and lessons learned to help other gluten-free parents feel empowered and supported.
My Work & Advocacy
Beyond my gluten-free advocacy, I work as a preschool special education teacher. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the education system and has fueled my passion for advocating for safer school environments for students and teachers with celiac disease.
I’m also an avid traveler! My goal is to visit all 50 U.S. states (I’m at 26 so far!) and explore as many countries as possible—I’ve been to nine so far and can’t wait to see more of the world.
In addition to running Gluten Free is Alla Eat, I proudly serve as an ambassador for Beyond Celiac. Through this role, I volunteer at events, contribute to projects, and work tirelessly to support the gluten-free community beyond social media.
Thank you for being here! Whether you’re newly diagnosed, a longtime gluten-free eater, or just looking for guidance, I’m excited to connect and share this journey with you.
